Holiday Shoppe springs forward to 2022

September 15, 2021

As the leaves begin to change, alas, so too do the best-laid plans. Typically, this time of year, CA’s Development Office and the Vendor Selection Team is busy mapping out booth spaces for CA’s Holiday Shoppe and chatting with vendors about their holiday wares. This year, we find ourselves once again leaning into creativity amidst a challenging health and safety landscape.

The Shoppe is an important CA community-building tradition—a time to come and gather with old friends, volunteer with new friends, and support the Charger community. In order to preserve these face-to-face traditions, we’ve decided to postpone this year’s Shoppe. We hope that you will join us as we Spring into Holiday Shoppe on March 24-26, 2022.

Just in time for your Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, and Commencement gifting needs, we’ve invited our vendors to bring their best spring fashions, outdoor items, homewares, culinary delights, and more to campus next March for an in-person shopping experience.

Happily, the Shoppe will also coincide with Grandparents’ and Special Friends’ Day on Friday, March 25, 2022. We hope that between classes and activities, these special guests will be able to pop over to our shop for a special Charger experience.

Many of our customers rely on our annual shop for holiday purchases. While we can’t host you on campus quite yet, we hope you will visit our website (caholidayshoppe.com) to shop online with the vendors who had planned to visit us this November. Online shopping will begin the week of Thanksgiving and run throughout the holiday season.

We will miss welcoming you to the Shoppe this fall, but we hope to see you in March of 2022.
