Tuition
One flat fee (no more guesswork about your activities budget) is your ticket to engaging academics, cutting-edge pedagogy, hands-on projects, and countless extra-curricular opportunities. From offsetting special event costs to covering immersive overnight class trips, awe-inspiring field trips, global exploration, and even our award-winning yearbook—it’s all included in the cost of tuition.
**You may be asking yourself, “What in the world is going on with Upper School tuition?” Your eyes don’t deceive you; tuition does appear a bit all over the place. (Brace yourself; a long explanation is incoming.) For the 2024/2025 academic year, we have phased out the World Language Fee, typically billed in the tenth-grade year. Fear not, this doesn’t mean the World Language Exchange Program is no more. Quite the opposite! We have expanded our expeditionary learning opportunities with our new, more flexible, and expansive Discovery Experience Program. Now, our students have more opportunities—through the World Language Exchange program or a non-homestay Discovery Term World Culture Experience—to discover the world beyond our campus. Happily, the new Discovery Experience Program is included in your tuition as of this year. Unhappily, the change has wreaked havoc on our fee structure, which should even back out in a matter of years. Phew. We warned you it was long.
Dining Plan Fee
No more waking up at dawn to make the same tired old sandwich. All CA students participate in our dining program. You’ll enjoy real, cooked-from-scratch, delicious seasonal cuisine (we’re not talking standard cafeteria fare). SAGE’s registered dieticians’ review and approve each menu to ensure that it offers a wide variety of nutritious choices that meet an array of dietary needs (vegan? gluten or dairy-free? No problem).
New Student Fee
Our new student fee is a one-time contribution that goes towards keeping our campus, facilities, and equipment in top-notch condition (think: purchasing new classroom desks or chairs, securing a much-needed part for our greenhouse irrigation system, or helping to replace that carpet in the Library that has seen one-too-many chai latte spills from The Hub.)
