A strong start to an inaugural Ultimate Frisbee season

On Tuesday, the Upper School’s Ultimate Frisbee club won their first game of the season over Enloe High School. Ultimate centers around the Spirit of the Game principle, promoting fair play and joy. At the end of every match, both teams join a spirit circle to applaud the opposing team’s excellent sportsmanship and impressive plays. The club’s next matchup is at home against Apex Friendship on September 21. Be sure to come out and support these incredible Charger athletes! Congratulations on the first of many wins during this inaugural season!

MATHCOUNTS Make CA History

Last Friday, Middle School math teacher and MATHCOUNTS coach, Mr. Crepsac, took 4 of MATHCOUNTS’s 40+ members to compete at the state level in the NC MATHCOUNTS Competition. For the first time in CA history, our Chargers took home the top prize, scoring 1st Place Team & 1st Place Individual. Way to go Chargers!

Among all individual competitors, Eric Zhu (’27) – 1st, scored the highest when ranked by individual scores. Because of this, Eric will be competing at the National Competition in Orlando, Florida. The next time you see any of the MATHCOUNTS team members, make sure to congratulate them on their victory.
