PTAA Service Committee at Oak City Cares – Volunteers Needed!

Oak City Cares December Service


The PTAA Service Committee is hosting a return to Oak City Cares to provide weekend meal service for community members experiencing homelessness on Sunday, December 22nd (8:30, 12noon and 2:30 shifts available). CA families have requested more opportunities to serve alongside one another at effective local charities like this one, we hope you'll consider signing up for a shift! Families and individuals are welcome. 9th Annual 5k Run

Please join us on Sunday, November 10 at 9:00 am for our 10th annual CA 5K race! All ages and abilities are invited to participate. Check-in opens at 8:00 a.m. Each registrant receives a race t-shirt. From 8:30 – 8:45 we will have a pre-race warm up session with a guest athletic trainer. The course, which starts and finishes on the track, runs through the beautiful SAS campus. Race attendees can stay after the race for yoga, stretching, and cool down and our Breathe, Balance, and Brunch gathering. Registration is now open! Don’t miss out on the fun!

IFSEL Parent Coffee: Adolescents in the Digital Age

Come join Nicky Allen, MS Assistant Head, and Katie Levinthal, MS Counselor, as they host a conversation about Adolescents in the Digital Age on Tuesday, October 29 from 8:45 – 9:45am in the Discovery Studio. This discussion will utilize IFSEL's dialogue structure, Open Session, which is an essential tenet of Cary Academy's advisory program.
