Tony O. Hinton

Director of Campus Operations

Tony joined Cary Academy in January 2021 after relocating from Baltimore, MD. Prior to coming to Cary Academy, Tony was the Chief of the Lease Compliance and Construction Division with the Maryland State Department of General Services. He has a broad background having previously served as a Director of Facilities and Operations, Quality Assurance Manager, Property Manager, and Police Officer First Class. Tony is responsible for overseeing the schools’ Office of Campus Operations which includes the following departments: facilities, landscaping, housekeeping, campus logistics, transportation, safety, and security. His goal is to ensure that the schools’ campus and infrastructure is maintained while following the path of discovery, innovation, collaboration, and excellence which aligns with the school’s mission. In addition, he holds the following certifications: Certified Facility Manager (CFM), Certified Professional Maintenance Manager (CPMM), Certified Red Cross Instructor, Certified Crisis Prevention Instructor, and a Certified ServSafe Food Protection Manager. He is a member of the International Facility Management Association (IFMA) and the Association for Facilities Engineering (AFE). He is married with five children.
